NIGHTMARER ALBUM RECORDINGS 2020

After spending almost all of 2019 on the road with The Ocean i flew over to visit my long-time partner in crime Simon Sludge to lock ourselves in and write the Nightmarer follow-up album to “Cacophony of Terror”.

We spent a good 2 1/2 weeks in an intense writing session before i headed back home to Berlin to record drums at one of my favourite places: Daily Hero Recordings! Our buddy Marc, who has been involved in our album recordings since “In Shoals” times was more than happy to tag along and within 3 days all new tracks were tracked and done!

I’m very happy with my choice of gear (cymbals, shells, heads etc.), the tuning, the room and how everything turned out eventually! Intense sessions lead to intense music.

NIGHTMARER ⇥ CACOPHONY OF TERROR

Es ist vollbracht.

Nach mehr als 3 intensiven Jahren des Songwritings hat das Warten endlich ein Ende. Trotz oder dank geistig sowie körperlich fordernden Aufnahmesessions sowie nervenzehrendem Mix und Mastering, erscheint am 23. März nun endlich das lang ersehnte erste Nightmarer Album.

NIGHTMARER SIGNS CONTRACT

I’m super happy about these great news concerning my band Nightmarer. We’ve signed a deal with one of the biggest metal labels out there at the moment and I can’t wait to get a full length album out next year.

Here’s the official band statement:

“We started NIGHTMARER with a very distinct concept and knew from the beginning that we would only want to collaborate with people who understand and support that very vision. Having worked with the label in the past, we already knew that Season of Mist would be the perfect choice for us.

Becoming a part of such a legendary artist roster and contributing to the label’s influential discography is nothing short of an honor. NIGHTMARER will add their mark to Season of Mist’s history with a debut LP in 2017, joining the ranks amidst such landmark releases as The True Mayhem‘s ‘Ordo Ad Chao’ and Gorguts‘ game-changing comeback ‘Colored Sands’. To say we are ecstatic about that would be an understatement.“

USA! USA! USA!

I will be flying over to Florida soon to work on the first Nightmarer full-length with Simon and John!!!

I’ll stay in Tampa / FL for about two weeks and then head over to New York for another week, so if you’re interested in private drum lessons or meeting up in general between the 13th of Juna and the 3rd of July, give me a shout!

I’m looking forward to some intense days!
