We might all be lacking some vitamin D here in the Northern Hemisphere and I know getting up in the morning can feel like the biggest challenge for some of us.

August. What a ride. From high as a kite to low and bedridden af. Played the sickest festival shows. Spent time in nature with my love. Hung out in Barcelona and reunited with phuends. I‘m way burned out but the show must go on. Ready for new adventures in September.

Me when a wild @vollvincent appears! 😍

It‘s been a nerve-wracking / amazing experience to play @summerbreezeopenair again this year. Our travel day started all smooth and jolly, but I somehow had a hunch that something was off when I realized I had forgotten my cymbal bag in our rehearsal room including sticks and… in-ear headphones.

Luckily @felix_at_meinl & @yorrgh_ came to the rescue within just a couple of hours and thanks to being located not too far from the festival premises they were able to provide a full set of cymbals and sticks in times of need. What a privilege and luxury that made me feel incredibly grateful for all the work they do over at @meinlcymbalsgermany

This wouldn‘t have usually had such stressing effect on me, but the whole show was being streamed live over @arte.tv / @arteconcertde which is a pretty big deal and made the mental hiccup of mine feel extra silly. I‘m still proud we made it all work and despite having to play with spare in-ears (which fell out of my too tiny ears every 5 seconds 🥲) the show seemed to be making people in front of the stage happy.

Now I‘m still dealing with a 2-week-summer-cold-episode and will hopefully be back to full energy in time for our immense @pelagic_records 15th anniversary weekend in Maastricht.
