About me

Hey there,

I’m Paul. My journey through music has taken me across a wide range of genres and experiences—from the intense energy of extreme metal to the nuanced realms of jazz, electronic, and pop music.

In 2006, I started out with War From a Harlots Mouth, an extreme-metal band from Berlin, where I spent seven years recording four albums and performing more than 500 shows worldwide. Touring across Europe, the U.S., Australia, and Russia, we connected with fans and explored new places, wrapping up this unforgettable chapter with a final show in December 2013.

Since 2014, I’ve been part of The Ocean Collective, a post-metal band known for its complex, atmospheric soundscapes. Playing with them has brought me to stages across the Americas, Australia, and Europe.

I also work with Simon (ex-WFAHM), John (ex-SWWAATS, GIGAN), and Keith (Conquering Dystopia) in Nightmarer, a project born out of our shared vision to distill the most intense elements of our musical backgrounds into something uniquely powerful.

Parallel to these collaborations, I explore my own creative side with FERN, a solo project blending Doom Pop, Electronic music, and Industrial Rock. In September 2022, I released my debut album, Intersubjective, which gave me the space to experiment and develop a sound that reflects my evolving interests.

Beyond these main projects, I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with a diverse range of artists, including the post-pop artist Like Lovers, the avant-garde post-rock band Dioramic, and well-known German acts such as Casper, Tristan Brusch, and Safi. Each of these collaborations has broadened my perspective and deepened my appreciation for different musical expressions.

With over two decades of experience, more than 1000 live shows, and countless hours in the studio, my career has been defined by exploration and connection. I’m grateful to share positive energy through music, build connections with audiences, and work with talented artists along the way.

Check out my upcoming tour dates to see where I’ll be next, have a listen to the projects I’ve contributed to, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Much love,
Paul ♥️
