Earlier this month my drumlife brought me to an amazing studio, located in the district of Gröndahl in Stockholm / Sweden: Studio Gröndahl. I had been looking forward to this, because i was both in love with Stockholm, since i was there back in 2013 and excited to record some new material for The Ocean Collective.
On July, 27th last month i drove back to Berlin to take part in a project, organized by german Initiative Musik (IM) and the Ministry Of Foreign Affair (MOFA), called “Wacken – more than Rock (made) in Germany“.
As a regular concept to invite musical media partners from all over the world, the MOFA in partnership with the IM takes certain musical genres and specifically presents them from a german perspective, showing the creative structures of venues, labels, shops, bands, organizations and of course musicians.
I will be heading out with my friends Jan Kerscher from Ghost City Recordings Studio and Hannes Neunhoeffer from A Tale Of Golden Keys.
I’m excited to announce that we (The Ocean Collective) will be touring Europe with Mono (Japan) and SÓLSTAFIR in October / November.
